Conceived by Atelier Biagetti and curated by Maria Cristina Didero, MCM’s latest presentation for the home takes us on an otherworldly journey – to Mars – with a scenography inspired by the colours and sounds of the planet. Inside the gilded Palazzo Cusani, the past meets the future with an array of transformative home objects – a day-bed that can unfold into a Tatami mat, an inflatable leather seating ball, and lamps with delicate woven cane shades that double up as hats – that tell the tale of the German brand’s bold vision. There is even an invitation to join MCM on its dazzling new Metaverse catwalk! Palazzo Cusani, Via Brera 13/15.
HERMÈS: COLLECTIONS FOR THE HOME
Inspired by the earth, a field of natural materials such as terracotta tiles, mud bricks, stones, and wood – all artfully composed into beautiful, geometric compositions – set the scene for the Hermès presentation during Salone Del Mobile 2024. Unlike the atelier’s previous showcases that featured monumental sculptural displays, this year, the installation is laid flat on the ground, designed to be experienced from above, as a series of catwalks criss-cross over it.
The 2024 Hermès collections for the home is kept hidden from view, revealed as the last chapter of the visitor’s journey. Meticulously crafted pieces in leather, textiles and more – blankets in subtle hues, cashmere bedspreads with graphic lines, and the radical Diapason d’Hermès lounge chair, featuring leather and hammered aluminium – demonstrate the brand’s unique ability to harness and reimagine its historic codes.
Sleek lamps and an intricate dinner service embody Hermès’ commitment to craftsmanship and refinement, showcasing a timeless elegance rooted in expertise. La Pelota, via Palermo 10.
