Earlier this month Oppo unveiled the A3 Pro, soon to be followed by a vanilla model. The Oppo A3 (PJT110) just cleared TENAA, which revealed some details about the upcoming phone.
It is equipped with a 6.67” 1080p+ AMOLED display and measures 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1mm and weighs 191g. The Pro model is slimmer (7.5-7.9mm) and lighter (177g or 182g, depending on the colorway).
The extra thickness and weight can be explained by the battery, which should have a typical capacity of 5,500mAh, 500mAh more than the Pro. However, the maximum charge rate is only half at 33W (vs. 67W for the Pro).
Oppo A3 (PJT110) specs from TENAA
According to TENAA, the Oppo A3 will have a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP helper on the back, plus a 16MP selfie on the front. For comparison, the Pro has a 64+2MP combo on the rear and 8MP on the front.
We don’t know what chipset will be used for the A3 (the Pro has a Dimensity 7050). We do kno that there will be several configurations with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB storage. Unlike its sibling, this model will also have a microSD slot.
Unfortunately, TENAA hasn’t posted photos of the Oppo A3 yet and we don’t even have 3D renders to go on. Considering that the A2 and A2 Pro look very different, we don’t think that the A3 Pro design is any indication for the regular A3. Also, the A2 and A2 Pro launched over a month apart.
