Oppo’s fast-paced Reno series is soon due for yet another refresh, which is now rumored to be announced in June. There will be a Reno12 and Reno12 Pro at least, and the specs of the former have been leaked by the usually reliable Weibo poster who goes by Digital Chat Station.
According to him, the current Reno12 prototype that’s in development is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 chipset, which is paired with a whopping 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The phone will allegedly have a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8 MP ultrawide, and a 50 MP f/2.0 “portrait telephoto” camera with 2x optical zoom. The Reno12 will sport a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging.
Its main highlights will apparently be the thin and light design and the curved screen, which according to previous leaks will have “1.5K” resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The Reno12 is also expected to be IP65 certified for dust and water resistance.
The image you can see above has been recently created by another Weibo account which machine translates as Fixed focus digital, purportedly showing us the overall design of the upcoming Reno12 while not being a leaked render per se.
